Qijiang Yan, MD, PhD
Assistant Research Scientist

Dr. Yan's work focuses on finding the cause of multiple sclerosis using the Center's cutting-edge technology in neuro-pathology and molecular biology. Of particular interest is the role that Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) may play in the development and progression of MS.

Dr. Yan received his MD degree from HeBei Medical University, and PhD degree in Neurobiology from Sun Yet-sen Medical College in Sun Yet-sen University, P. R. China. He received postdoctoral training at Columbia University from 2001-2005, conducting research in fragile X syndrome using a murine gene knockout and transgenic model.
